Successful Attendance at the XXIII Anembe International Congress

Within the framework of the scientific program of the XXII Anembe Congress, a reference event in the bovine sector, numerous conferences and oral communications were held, addressing topics such as nutrition, animal health, reproduction, milk quality, medicine, surgery, and podiatry, among others. 

During the first day, Dr. Allen Rousell provided insights into diagnosing abdominal pathologies in cattle and interpreting a biochemical panel, and addressed fluid therapy in adult cows.

On the other hand, Dr. Víctor Cabrera explained how nutrition can be improved through real-time calculated multiple rations, while Dr. Michael Allen presented a practical approach to the theory of hepatic oxidation.

On the second day, Dr. Paul Fricke discussed fertility in high-production herds, limitations related to reproductive activity monitors, and the management of twins in dairy cows.

Dr. Rodrigo Bicalho spoke about the relationship between insulin, inflammation, and lactation, and Dr. Víctor Cabrera presented the concept of the “virtual brain” of a dairy farm.

The third day featured numerous communications, such as Dr. Michael Allen‘s on the importance of rumen pH, or Dr. G. Stillwell‘s highlighting the importance of colostrum.
