Presentation of Bovalto Respi Intranasal to over 100 veterinarians
On September 26, the Museo del Traje in Madrid was the venue chosen by Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Spain for the presentation of Bovalto Respi Intranasal.
Before more than a hundred veterinarians from across the country, the presentation began with an olfactory exhibition as a tribute to the veterinary profession. Thus, through a sensory experience that connected professionals with their environment, a journey was proposed through a selection of plants that have been used throughout history for therapeutic purposes in veterinary medicine.
Luis Santos, director of the ruminants, equine, and poultry business unit at Boehringer Ingelheim, was responsible for opening the day by welcoming those present.
Subsequently, Bruno Goddeeris, professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Ghent University, delighted the attendees with a passionate exposition on immunology that sparked numerous questions about mucosal protection, emergency vaccinations, the use of vaccines, and their role in proper immunization, among other topics.
Alfonso Martínez, veterinary technical advisor for ruminants and equine at Boehringer Ingelheim, presented the new vaccine against BRD: Bovalto Respi Intranasal.
As a final point, Maite Bastero, brand manager for ruminants and equine at Boehringer Ingelheim, introduced Inmunographies, the new section of Bovinium (www.bovinium.es), the technical platform focused on Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD).
With an audiovisual format, the section will offer an analytical view of immunology approached from various perspectives, from general to specific, to facilitate its understanding as the basis of the daily work of professionals.
Bovalto Respi Intranasal
The new Bovalto Respi Intranasal vaccine prevents against two of the most important viruses among the etiological agents of Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD), is administered intranasally, and generates a very rapid immune response in very young calves (from 10 days of age) and even in the presence of maternal antibodies.
Intranasal vaccination is the most effective way to prevent lung colonization by pathogens. Additionally, Bovalto Respi Intranasal allows for convenient and easy administration thanks to a specific nebulizer that avoids injuries and promotes the appropriate droplet volume for the calf’s nasal cavity. This device, named Bovalto breezer, also helps eliminate product loss and increase its effectiveness.
