Zoetis delves into reproduction of small ruminants at SEOC Congress

In addition to sponsoring the SEOC congress and having a striking stand in the commercial area, the leading animal health company held a round table on reproduction in small ruminants featuring renowned experts in the field.
Fiammetta Berlinguer, associate professor at the Department of Animal Medicine at the University of Sassari (Italy), spoke about the latest advances in reproductive management of small ruminants; Antonio González de Bulnes, researcher at INIA, discussed hormonal methods for the synchronization of oestrus and ovulations; while Juraj Grizelj, from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Zagreb (Croatia), delved into non-hormonal methods and the usefulness of artificial insemination in dairy goats.
Debate on reproductive management of sheep and goats
Apart from the SEOC congress, Zoetis took the opportunity to organize, along with the speakers participating in the round table, joined by Paula Martínez Ros (Cardenal Herrera University), and a group of twelve veterinarians specializing in the sector from the main breed selection and improvement centers such as Assaf, Churra, Latxa, and Manchega, as well as representatives from universities, cooperatives, and consultants, a debate session on the reproductive management of small ruminants.
An event to share experiences and seek solutions together, where an enriching and highly valuable debate was created with the generation of ideas and different approaches. All participants agreed on the need to evolve and face future challenges to achieve the advancement and growth of the small ruminant sector together.
