Boehringer Ingelheim participates in SEOC with presentations and clinical cases
Boehringer Ingelheim attended this key event for the sector where, in addition to participating with a stand, it sponsored presentations and clinical cases.
With the sponsorship of Boehringer Ingelheim, attendees at the SEOC congress were able to attend the conferences “How to face a complex diagnosis. Examples of difficult-to-solve clinical cases”, by Mario Balaro, from the Federal Fluminense University (Niterói, Rio de Janeiro); “Border Disease in sheep caused by a BVDV-2 strain”, delivered by Francisco Javier Diéguez (University of Santiago de Compostela); and “Field trial on the efficacy of a single dose of gamithromycin for the treatment of infectious lameness in sheep”, developed by Alfonso Martínez Escribano (Boehringer Ingelheim).
The day concluded with the presentation of various clinical cases, among which the three best were awarded in a session moderated by Jesse Barandika, Alfonso Martínez, ruminants technician at Boehringer Ingelheim, and José Miguel Mejías, from the SEOC Board of Directors.

The Spanish Society of Sheep and Goat Science is a non-profit association, open to all professionals with an interest in the sheep and/or goat sectors, both meat and dairy production.
The Scientific Conferences have always had a very wide national impact and since the XXII edition, our event acquired an International character. Since the Burgos Conferences, our society has also opened up to the study of wild ruminants.
Currently, SEOC has more than 350 members. More than 150 communications are presented at the Conferences and more than 300 congress participants attend. Seminars and training courses of the highest level are held and it has a magazine: “TIERRAS Ovino” and “TIERRAS Caprino” (Small Ruminants).
