3.- COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS

The Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) model is a testing technique used to verify gas flows and their velocities within the incinerator. It is the same technique used in the design of airplanes, cars (F1), and power plants.

We use it to ensure:

  • 100% waste destruction.
  • Making the best use of the generated heat.
  • Eliminating excessively hot or cold spots.

The machine is thoroughly tested before being sent to the customer

This is the only way to measure that the retention time in the secondary chamber is correct.

If not done scrupulously, inadequate gas management can lead to the emission of dioxins harmful to health.

4.- PAINT SYSTEM

Our IGE Incineradores machines undergo a two-coat paint system, the same technology used in car manufacturing.

  • Highly durable and withstands the most extreme conditions.
  • Consists of spraying the steel exterior with a protective paint layer that is baked at 70° C to ensure complete adherence.

We are one of the few manufacturers that can use this technology due to our high-quality refractory bricks, the cooler temperatures of the exterior steels, and the IP65 approval for safe and guaranteed outdoor installation.

5. PLUG AND PLAY

The electronic systems of our incinerators (IGE Incineradores) are easy to operate: they only require plugging in to use.

This reduces startup time and simplifies future electronic issues.

All electronics are governed by the BS7671-17 standard and the IP65 environmental standard.

 

6.- DOORS AND COVERS

The door and cover system of our incinerators (IGE Incineradores) is made of compressed low thermal mass fiber.

  • Many machines lower costs by using concrete in the doors, but it is not effective in sealing the gases generated inside the combustion chamber.
  • The lightweight and resistant refractory fiber creates a seal in the window frame, retains heat, and prevents any air entry that could affect the burning process.

 

7.- FUEL EFFICIENCY ECOCYCLE™

The EcoCycle™ involves accumulating energy to achieve the most efficient energy expenditure possible, obtaining one of the most fuel-efficient incinerators on the market and, therefore, environmentally sustainable. This technology incorporates:

  • 180mm-221mm refractory wall that prevents heat loss inside the machine.
  • Double layer of interlocking insulating brick. The high-quality bricks reflect heat inside the combustion chamber, while their insulation prevents heat loss.
  • Burners stop when the optimal incineration temperature is reached to save fuel and facilitate the cleaning process.
  • Intelligent Controllers Ai742 – PLC that automatically adjust burning cycles so that they burn waste without fuel.

8.- MANUFACTURING AND STEELWORK

Did you know…?

  • In our IGE Incineradores factory, steel is laser cut with a precision of +/- 10 micrometers.
  • We use a solid 10mm thick steel plate for the primary chambers.
  • Steel is acid-treated to prevent corrosion during the incineration process.
  • Already integrated into our larger machines, the front has a protective cover.

This allows us to:

  • Ensure quality in the manufacturing process.
  • Build the machine to measure.
  • Customize existing designs to meet specific customer requirements.
  • In March 2017, we inaugurated a new factory where we concentrate 100% of the manufacturing of our incineration equipment located in Burntwood, Staffordshire.

 

9.- MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE

Long-lasting maintenance

The high-quality materials used in the construction of our machines guarantee long-term use with minimal maintenance.

The machines are built in such a way that the required maintenance can be performed on-site quickly, economically, and effectively.

  • A good example of this is our refractory-coated brick instead of the refractory concrete used by other incinerators available on the market.
  • This damaged material will require a construction specialist to realign the entire machinery for effective repair, which must be done in the factory. In contrast, refractory bricks are repaired on-site by simply replacing the bricks.

Annual maintenance

We recommend a series of annual maintenance services: burner cleaning including the fuel filter, fuel injectors, diffusers, and nozzles.

  • We use ECOFLAM burners in our machines, as we believe they are the most robust and reliable on the market, and their spare parts are available through a wide distribution network.
  • We also have a 15-year spare parts availability guarantee.

DEFRA TYPE APPROVED. The UK ‘Department for Environment Food & Rural Affairs’ have Type Approved. Approved in accordance with the UK Ministry of Agriculture.
