De Heus actively participated in this edition of the National Sheep Forum, supporting producers in the sector.
De Heus had a special role on the second day of the National Sheep Forum, when Sander Abrahamse, International Product Manager at De Heus Animal Nutrition B.V., presented his lecture on “Modeling Rumen Fermentation for Precision Feeding’.
In this twentieth edition, the National Sheep Forum featured a comprehensive program of conferences and seminars with around thirty experts from various companies, institutions, and universities participating as speakers.
After 19 editions held in Aranda de Duero, the Valladolid fairgrounds hosted the 2018 National Sheep Forum.
One of the topics analyzed was the opportunities of the digital age for sheep veterinarians, where experts detailed the availability of new technologies and tools currently available to sheep veterinarians to face these changes.
The National Sheep Forum is a technical congress organized for 22 years as an initiative of the magazine ‘Tierras’ and the website ‘oviespaña.com’, aimed at all professionals who work daily with this type of livestock and the teams from companies that guide their work and supply them with the necessary resources to carry it out.
About 450 professionals – veterinarians, technicians from various areas, researchers, or farmers – natural leaders in the sector, who act as benchmarks to set the lines of action in most farms in Spain and other important sheep countries, attend the event, making the FORUM the most influential meeting of the year, where the most current topics are addressed with the most innovative vision, providing an excellent framework for relationship building, experience exchange, and networking meetings.
